Microsoft SharePoint 2007 is the central information sharing and collaboration platform for the 2007 Microsoft Office system. SharePoint 2007 consists of two main products: Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and SharePoint Server 2007. SharePoint Services 3.0 is a set of add-on services for the Microsoft Windows Server Platform (in our case, Windows Server 2003). These services provide the resources to build information management and collaboration solutions, as well as document sharing. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) allows organizations to create enterprise business solutions. These solutions bring together people, information, systems, and extended workflow capabilities, personalized content and alerting, and extended application integration.
